Our goals
"There are no small goals , as the classic says.
You already know what our motto is. But let's take a look at our specific goals and plans to fulfill the Čmeláci PLUS motto.
- We strive here, and will continue to strive, to provide you with practical, interesting, and useful information related to the amazing creatures that bumblebees undoubtedly are.
- We will also try to provide you with support, whether it be when an individual is found, nesting bumblebees in your area, or supporting bumblebee breeding in hives.
- We will help organize the rescue of endangered nests (Bumblebee Rapid Rota). We have already established cooperation with the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic (HZS) to help us find nests in need and guide you to the rescue.
- We will continue to improve, both alone and with you, the means, solutions, and procedures for breeding bumblebees in your gardens and in public spaces.
- We also look forward to the support of all of you who want to create food sources for bumblebees in meadows, gardens, and small flower beds between apartment buildings.
- We will try to give you instructions on how to observe bumblebees, how to distinguish their individual species and sex. We also want to help you with specific solutions.
- We will also try to create a photo group and share good experiences among photographers.
- We want to share interesting information with you, both breeders and experts.
- We will always be looking for more experienced "bumblebee lovers - bombusophiles" among you who are willing to share their experiences and knowledge.
- We also want to organize a meeting for bombusophiles – bumblebee enthusiasts. One enthusiastic bumblebee fan has even given it the name “beekeeper” and that exactly describes the content of such a meeting.
- We want to continue to support educators who work with children and ignite an interest in nature in them, for example through bumblebees.
- We want to support and highlight municipalities and cities that care about ecology and the ecological care of urban greenery.
- We want to provide support and consultation to manufacturers of bumblebee hives so that their products serve. We want to point out both good and bad examples from manufacturers.
- We will test the production for bumblebees and publish the results.
- We will provide you with know-how in identifying bumblebee species and involve you in the search and mapping of rare bumblebee species.
- We will point out the bad things, such as the sale of non-native species of bumblebees that harm our nature.
- We want to entertain you, but also provide practical information and interesting facts about the life of bumblebees.
- We managed to gather more people into the team and it is clear that they are enjoying it. We want to continue to expand this team. We want to be an open community so that the know-how about supporting bumblebees becomes public knowledge and can therefore act not in isolation, but as widely as possible.
- We want to use social networks and media to disseminate information.
- We want to provide support in promoting bumblebees to schools and science clubs, including supporting materials that we will provide to them free of charge.
As you can see, we have big plans…
We are a group of enthusiasts, we do everything without any claims for remuneration in our free time and independently from manufacturers of bumblebee equipment and producers of bumblebee nests. We do not turn your "likes" into money, but we are happy about them. For us, it is feedback that you enjoy our work and that it makes sense to do it.
