Bumblebees that "bother and threaten"
We have yet to meet a person who doesn't mind bumblebees. Likewise, bumblebees pose no threat to anyone.
Bumblebees are peaceful bears, you have to directly threaten them or their nest to make them start defending themselves .
Sometimes, however, bumblebees are really annoying because, from our perspective, they become unlucky and people feel that bumblebees are endangered.
This happens, for example, when bumblebees settle in a place where people are worried about their offspring . Sometimes allergy sufferers feel threatened , because a sting could have serious consequences for them.
The vast majority of bumblebee species in the Czech Republic are friendly and there is no need to worry about them.

Bumblebees in danger
Sometimes bumblebees become so unlucky that they become a real threat to themselves.
It could be their nest, which you accidentally destroyed .
It could be a nest in the compost you are working with . Sometimes bumblebees will settle in the path you are using. You may also discover a nest while renovating a house, shed, or in a meadow while mowing hay , etc.
It could also be a nest that was dug up by a dog .
In all of these cases, the bumblebee nest is in danger and needs human help .

Cooperation between the Fire Department and Čmeláci PLUS
In 2019, we approached the Czech Fire Department and subsequently presented Bumblebees PLUS and bumblebee rescue at a meeting of dispatchers of the Czech Fire Department Emergency Line.
If someone contacts the Fire Department dispatch center with a request to solve a problem with bumblebees, the dispatch center will inform us and we will offer the nest for rescue using the Bumblebee Rapid Company.
