A creature to whom we as humans have a lot to give back.
Although our association is mainly focused on bumblebees, we don't just help them.
We also help other types of insects and not only them - we help nature in our surroundings and thus, above all, ourselves, you, ours and your children.
What is the code of conduct of the Čmeláci PLUS zs association?
PLUS = we want to provide you with a truly comprehensive overview of this fascinating insect kingdom. Our activities go far beyond just bumblebee breeding.
PLUS = we want to move things forward, seek and apply new possibilities that will create better conditions for our / your bumblebees. For example, new solutions, materials, procedures and instructions not only in breeding, but also in landscape and garden care and in people's approach to nature.
PLUS = we do not say that we are the only and the best. But we want to help independently and fairly point out what we do not think is right or what practice has already overcome. We want to provide our knowledge to you and to manufacturers of hives and accessories for bumblebees.
PLUS = we are not a hidden advertising space for manufacturers of beehives and bumblebee accessories or nest producers. We are not the only ones trying to support bumblebees.
PLUS = we want to rely on the experience of Mr. Miroslav Stuchl and his friends, who created the know-how about bumblebee breeding with him, and to further develop this base. We ourselves have many years of experience and so we know how necessary it is to rely on theory, but at the same time to accept and evaluate the practical knowledge of other people. The Czech Republic is not the only one trying to help bumblebees, so we also monitor foreign organizations, we go through entomological studies. We want to respond to the fact that the environment is changing and what worked before may no longer apply. – We finally see this for ourselves when we compare our breeding 2, 5 or more years ago and now.
PLUS = we do not want to be a group just for those who "want to have bumblebees at home". We want to give you a complete picture of the issue and leave it up to you to decide. We would rather provide more information and discourage someone than let those interested in bumblebees be disappointed or put in a situation where their failed attempt becomes a breeding ground for parasites and harms the bumblebees and not only them with this local ecological disaster. For those who have a nest in their garden that threatens them, we offer to save it and move it to one of the breeders.
PLUS = it's all of you, your suggestions, observations, experiences and interest in your ideas and suggestions are extremely valuable - they help bumblebees.
PLUS = active work to protect the environment, associated education and projects.
PLUS = that's something extra - bumblebees, their breeders and supporters are our object of interest, but at the same time, bumblebees are a way for all of us to become interested in nature and its protection.
