From the snipped lining, bumblebees form beautiful tufts and curls, which they find easy to work with. The lining does not settle, nor is it subject to moisture.
Therefore, this material can be warmly recommend for use.

Note: Sheep's wool can also be washed in a washing machine; the important thing is to have a special wool programme, otherwise the wool would become matted during washing. However, you will miss out on that wonderful feeling of „doing it all yourself“ and your hands won't get that pleasant contact with lanolin.

If you decide to use in the next season already used lining from sheep's wool, select only the clean parts and then Sanitize as per the procedure given HERE. Definitely do not wash the lining, otherwise you will remove the scent of bumblebees, which works as a good attractant. To reduce the risk of disease transmission, use only a small amount of old bedding in the nest core..
